If you have a drink at one place in Lucerne, make the bar at the Gutsch Hotel, perched high on a bluff overlooking the city. It was described to me as "a Wes Anderson movie made into a bar," and from the moment you step on the funicular to make the steep climb to the hotel's abstract sculpture garden...well, yeah. Drinks were great (pictured: Apple in the Sky), interior is exquisite, and the bergamot panna cotta with blood orange sorbet was lovely.
