‘Kommissar X on acid’ is exactly what Death Trip, on paper at least, promises us: Our world-hopping team of swinging adventurers/super sleuths, Jo Walker and Tom Rowland, getting entangled in the wild world of LSD trafficking.
I firmly believe that prolonged exposure to any movie series can actually alter the brain’s chemistry, and, as such while the strains of ‘I Love You Jo Walker’, for me, serve as endorphin triggers, for others they might simply serve to tell them that its time to turn off the TV.
Even though the cast and crew are making a lark of a movie, Hasebe never lets it collapse under the weight of its own self-awareness. He understands that the best spoof of the campy spy film of the 1960s also has to be a very enjoyable spy film, and Black Tight Killers doesn’t forget to entertain.

Fleming delivers a complex story, well rendered and expertly paced, if not a bit far-fetched in certain aspects. It has the speed and adventure of the best action-oriented Bond stories but is a decidedly denser, more complicated work, showing that Fleming really had improved tremendously at his chosen vocation.
On Her Majesty’s Secret Service is a nearly perfect thriller. It is packed with intrigue, action, romance, and emotion, and does indeed manage to work within the Bond formula without being confined by it.
And we get all this before we’ve even gotten to the villain’s lair, which is a sprawling underground lair patrolled by hypnotized women in go-go boots, black catsuits, and metallic lavender-colored wigs, who do their patrolling in convertible stretch Caddies.
The Girl from Rio was designed from the ground up to appeal to pervy little goblins like me. Bright colors, mad costumes, gun fights, weird sets, and lots of almost naked women
